Alienation! Hans chughay dhana dhunka; Kawa moej munaiyay!

Truth must be swallowed like a bitter pill. It is the wrong and appeasement policies of the Government of India that alienated Kashmiris. Afzal Guru was just a pawn of the army of militants organized by the gimmick of Farooq Abdullah. Strangely the pawn whose sentiments were wrongly aroused by the initiator and the harbinger of militancy was hanged while the harbinger enjoyed  a ministerial berth at the Centre and his son and his party ruled the State with the blessings of the Central Government against wishes of the ruled with political maneuvering. Is it not an inhuman act that the family was not given a chance to see the one condemned with death sentence before he was hanged? A mediocre like Sushil Kumar Shinde polluted the chair that was once occupied by Gulzari Lal Nanda and Sardar Patel. He injured and bruised the sentiments of people irrespective of their affiliation and region when he said that a speed-post letter was sent to the family of Afzal Guru on the eve of the execution of the death sentence. M J Akbar rightly said in Today’s Sunday edition:” When clever people come to power, they often make a simple mistake. They think the rest of us are fools.” Virtually such ‘clever’ play with the interests of the nation while alienating its population. The Supreme Court of India condemned Afzal Guru with death sentence as the crime was deemed rarest of the rare. The Government of India made the death sentence still harsher than the highest punishment, by prolonging the execution and caused death by inches. Being pro Indians we must not close our eyes to wrongs that the Government of India does. Kashmir is an integral part of India with its people and not without its people. What is the use of that integral part whose population is made hostile to the interests of India? Shia Community of the valley has all along been for India. The late Moulvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari was very close to Mrs. Indra Gandhi. His followers were humiliated at Hazuri Bagh when Indra Gandhi delivered her last speech at Hazuri Bagh a few months before her assassination in 1984. I am witness to the scene when their caps were trampled and thrown in drains nearby. The same Moulvi was thrown out of the Congress unceremoniously to accommodate Farooq Abdullah. The late Maqbool Dar (Ex.State Minister for Home GOI) from Shangus Anantnagh had canvassed people of his constituency in favour of India. Majority of them joined the Congress, the only National party for them. Next time for no reason mandate was denied to him and given to his cousin. Poor fellow had no option but to go in exile along with kashmiri Pundits in 1990. 1983, a small Shia Sunni skirmish at Zadibal was blown out of proportion to fail the Tourist Industry to fail Farooq Government. Politically, Kashmir is a grocer's shop for the Congress. Sheikh Abdullah refused to enter into alliance for 1976 elections. Alliance in grocer's language is partnership. Revenge and avenge thereafter caused my exile.
The wrong doings of the Government of India are the sauce for the separatists and anti Indians.
