Ice-Age Expedites Evolution

Ice-Age Expedites Evolution

28th January 2012 was made an auspicious day as on this day Amit Bhan took delivery of a new car here in Dubai to replace his two year old brand new car. I was honoured to be the first to steer the stand still car. From the core of my heart, I showered my blessings on the family in murmurs. My heart throbs on seeing our youngsters prospering while in exile.
I compare our exodus of 1990 with the Ice-age. Early nineties, when both of my daughters were studying away from home, I used to write to them to remember and recall the advantages of the Ice-Age that they had read in their tenth class. Each Ice-age has whipped life to grow better and faster. Evolution expedites after every ice-age.

13th January, 2012 at Qanat Al Qasba Sharjah, I observed one in the neighbourhood watching and listening with interest to the gossip of my daughter and her friend Meenakshi Bhan. I asked him if he was a Kashmiri. He was thrilled and excited. Soon we discovered affinity with each other. He introduced himself as Bashir Ahmmad Bazaz from Kalwal Mohalla Rainawari, now shifted to Gulab Bagh. He recalled marriage of Khatija’s daughters that were sponsored by his friend Girdhari Lal, my elder brother. He deflated my boast of getting 73 next month when he said that he was already 74. In excitement he called his other family members and introduced us to Mansoor Ahmmad Bhat (mansoorbhat@yahoo.com), his son-in-law. Mansoor Ahmad vindicated my observation and said: “I am a simple science graduate with non medical subjects. In the valley, my future would have been a daily wager or at the most an employee on contract basis. Turmoil in the valley made me to look for my studies and future away from the valley. I got exposure while away from home. Here in Dubai, I am head of the Unit. His lifestyle revealed his prosperity. His residence is in a very expensive and posh area. We parted reluctantly.
