Militancy in the valley
is the brain child of Farooq Abdullah himself. Bomb blasts at Magam and Khanyar
NC rallies on 27th April, 2014 substantiate the dictum 'chah kundh ra chah dher paish'. One who digs pit for others falls
oneself into it.
1989, there were only
315 militants in the valley. Seventy-five of them were apprehended. Arrest of
the rest on the basis of information gathered from the arrested ones was a
matter of days. They were on the run.
Surprisingly, Farooq Abdullah the then Chief Minister of
J&K State directed the Police for release of the seventy-five militants under
police detention. Liaqat SHO Maisuma Thana refused to accept the unlawful
orders of Farooq Abdullah. Farooq Abdullah personally came to Lal Chowk in the
jurisdiction of Masuma Thana and challenged the authority of
Liyaqat:"Whether the Chief Minister of the State is Liyaqat or Farooq
Abdullah". Liyaqat preferred to resign rather than to implement unlawful
orders.
Police and the
Administration took cue and acted accordingly to facilitate spread of
militancy. Boys from National Conference cadres and others were encouraged to
cross the borders for Arms training. City public transport without route permit
carried enthusiasts from Srinagar to Kupwara a distance of more than 100 kms
away and beside the LOC without any routine check by the traffic police to
ensure whether the vehicles were permitted to ply on roads without the
requisite route permit. route permit. He
first motivated the innocent youth and finally ditched them. More than one lac
youth is in graves and he is enjoying power. Baba muray toe halva; bibi muray
toe halva.
