"Pei tanus teli tarkun taani." (Let then fall the snow up to the stars)

Rehman and Rehet were working as panier (Water carriers) at Narparistan Srinagar. Those days very few households had water-tap connections. Water in earthen pitcher could be supplied by the Muslim water carriers even to the orthodox Pundit households, as some of the items including water in earthen pitcher were secular in nature.
Early January, the couple was in a relaxing mood after the day's work. It started snowing. The falling snowflakes added to the romantic environment. The young romantic couple had already got engulfed in romance.
Rehat whispered: "Rehmana sheen haa logun". (Rehman it started snowing)
Rehman said: " Asi chai kalchan kute vai?"  (Do we have enough for the evening meal?)
Rehet said: "Anitis manz haa che seeri motha". ( Handful of broken rice is in the lid of the earthen pot for cooking known as lejie and its earthen lid is known as anuet)
Rehaman said: "Pei tanus teli tarkun taani." (Then let fall up to the sky)
After reading this mail, please be happy with the little, and say peitanus teli tarkun taani. These four words will make the little more than enough. This is the mantra to be happy with what you have.
Part time job during the month of Ramdan for Mohammad Sultan of Tankipora was to awaken people at dawn for ‘sahuer’ (Morning meal). He was called Sulae Nalea. Nalea is the translation for shouting. While awakening people for ‘sahuer’ during the month of Ramdan he used to address Allah while reciting naadhi shrief: "Ya pakh perverdigara wandh hai seene chi teri, magar tim ti chum chanei. Wandei yai te wandai kiah. Ne thouthus phakai zaanh, ne dutethum yed barith"(Oh holy Pervardigar, I would love to make sacrifice of my ribs for you, but these too are yours. So what to offer? You neither let me be without food, nor did you give me bellyful)
Despite plenty contentment is at bay.
Mume-Piale in Nai Basti Anantnagh had his dwelling in a four to five feet high domeshaped furnace. Happy Mume-Piale used to repair broken cups, and bake them in the furnace cum dwelling. Ladies around at their leisure hour after their kitchen work was over would often enjoy gossip and huqa with him.
Mum-Piale often used to say:"Ya pakh Perverdigara kar se reham panenis tethi sendi paase; kerkh ti nai majboor gachi zin. Bhe chus majboor gachitei, Che kiazi gachukh majboor miani baputh” (Oh His Holiness Perverdighar be kind and merciful to me in the name of Your beloved. If not, don’t get tense; I am already tense; why should you be?”)

One day I too addressed the Pakh Parverdigaar  in same style. Some Muslim beside me objected to my prayer. When I asked him for the reason. He said:" You being a butta,(Kashmiri Pundit)
you can't say panenis tethi sendi passe."  (In the name of your beloved)
I said:"Why?" He said:" His toth (beloved) is Prophet Muhammad. You don't say PBU his soul simultaneously. And you don't believe that Prophet Muhammad was the last prophet and He  had Mehraj."
I refuted and said I am equally His toeth,  otherwise He would not take all the care in maintaining me.
